2018 Sip-N-Stroll Wine Tasting

The historic square comes alive with a sample of wine and/or craft beer in participating businesses. We invite you to join us for a taste as you stroll this awesome place!

Join us in Historic Downtown Laurens Friday, April 27 from 5:30-9PM for a fun evening of wine, music, food and friends at Main Street Laurens’ annual Sip-N-Stroll wine tasting. This event is a fundraiser for Main Street Laurens as we work to promote, improve and preserve the unique character and economic vitality of Downtown Laurens, SC.

Participating businesses will feature a wine from Total Wine and More along with hors d’oeuvres for you to sample. While in their businesses, be sure to take a look around… you just may see something you want to purchase and take home with you. Once you have tried all the samples, you can purchase the wine from Main Street Laurens to enjoy at home! Our downtown restaurants will also be open with dinner specials just right for the evening.

Tickets are $18 per person the night of Sip-N-Stroll, or you receive $3 off by purchasing the tickets in advance or by being a member of Main Street Laurens. You must be 21 years of age or older to participate and ID is required to get your wristband and glass for tasting. More ticket information will be available soon! Glasses for the Sip-N-Stroll are sponsored by Cornerstone Investments of Laurens.

We encourage you to grab a friend, or a group of friends, and join us for a taste as you stroll this awesome place!

2018 KCBS State Championship BBQ Cook Off

Two-day BBQ cook off and festival presented by PRTC!
October 5 & 6, 2018

Squealin’ on the Square celebrates it 18th year of bringing family fun and delicious BBQ to the historic downtown. The first weekend of October each year sees the downtown square come alive with live music, arts & crafts, food and especially BBQ. The two day event kicks off on Friday and runs through 8PM on Saturday.

As a KCBS sanctioned event, Squealin’ on the Square is excited to participate in the new Palmetto BBQ Series SC BBQ Championship. This new competition series  will award the best BBQ Competitor in SC who has the highest cumulative points for participating in at least 4 of the 6 KCBS sanctioned events in SC. Squealin’ on the Square is the next to last KCBS event of the year for SC, so we are expecting a large turn-out of BBQ competition teams.

Squealin’ on the Square is presented by the non-profit, Main Street Laurens, as a way of raising funds to assist in their efforts to revitalize the Historic Downtown District. All proceeds from the event go back into the organization to help with projects such as facade grants for businesses, marketing of the downtown, decorative lighting in the downtown and implementation of the new Downtown Master Plan.

So, we encourage you to mark your calendars and join us for a good time, good food and good friends all while helping revitalize downtown Laurens!
